How We Started
The concept emerged from observing commuters struggle with Vancouver's hills and distances. Traditional bikes sat unused because the physical demand exceeded daily energy reserves. Cars remained the default despite environmental concerns and parking challenges.
Our founder tested various electric bike models personally before selecting manufacturers who prioritized reliability over flashy features. The first fleet consisted of twelve bikes operating from a single downtown location.
Growth came through word-of-mouth rather than aggressive marketing. Satisfied customers shared their experiences, leading to expansion into Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, and Ottawa. Each new city taught us about different terrain challenges and weather considerations.
